COMPREHENSIVE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ESG STRATEGY

This training is aimed at (future) managers responsible for corporate and product-related sustainability performance who want to use and strengthen the transformation skills of all stakeholders. The program, developed from business practice and scientifically supported, provides knowledge and skills to develop and implement ESG-oriented business strategies. Participants learn to integrate sustainability into core business processes in order to improve business performance and competitiveness in a dynamic market environment.

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION AND
CAREER DEVELOPMENT

The certificate course concludes with an examination in the form of a learning diary, i.e. the documentation and reflection of one’s own learning process. This training improves career prospects and professional credibility in the growing field of ESG management and enables graduates to take on key roles in the sustainable economy.

DATA-SUPPORTED DECISION-MAKING AND PROCESS OPTIMIZATION

The program teaches participants how to collect and evaluate ESG data in a CSRD/ESRS-compliant manner. Or how, for example, software for real-time precision value chains and AI-based visual computing solutions contribute to sustainability performance.

This knowledge leads to a significant improvement in operational efficiency and more effective sustainability management.

TRANSFORMATIVE LEARNING THROUGH COLLABORATIVE
KNOWLEDGE GENERATION AND APPLICATION

  • From practice for practice: Herbert Haberl is an experienced, respected consultant and university lecturer for sustainable & regenerative business, transformative skills and business coaching.
  • Part-time online seminar: The course extends over a period of 6 weeks and is structured as follows:
    – One online workshop day per week (7 hours with one hour break)
    – 3 hours of self-study per week
    – 1 hour weekly online exchange of experience on practical ESG case studies in public discussion groups.
  • Number of participants: In order to ensure an optimal learning environment and a close exchange, the number of participants is limited to 6 to 16 people.
  • Comprehensive course material & support from the trainer: Provision of resources and tools for the practical implementation of what has been learned in everyday business life as well as clarification of individual questions, even up to 3 months after the end of the course, with a guaranteed answer no later than the next working day.

This structure enables participants to complete the course alongside their professional activities and at the same time offers a balanced mix of guided workshops, self-study and practice-oriented exchange.

THE COMPLETE COURSE PROGRAM

First week: Strategy development and goal setting

  • Integrate ESG criteria into the corporate strategy: This involves setting specific ESG targets and metrics that are in line with the vision of a sustainable circular economy.
  • Implement circular economy principles: This includes prioritizing prevention,
    reuse and recycling in all areas of the company.
  • Stakeholder dialog: Involvement of customers, suppliers, NGOs and other interest groups
    in the development of the ESG strategy.

Second week: Risk management and compliance

  • Identification and assessment of ESG risks: This includes both internal company risks
    (e.g. scarcity of resources) and external risks (e.g. regulatory changes).
  • Development of measures to minimize risk: implementation of early warning systems, prevention strategies and emergency plans.
  • Compliance with ESG standards and regulations: Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, guidelines and certifications

Third week: Transparency and reporting

  • Regular reporting on ESG performance: Publication of transparent and comprehensive ESG reports documenting progress towards a circular economy.
  • Development of a key performance indicator system: measurement and evaluation of ESG performance using relevant KPIs.
  • Communication with stakeholders: Open dialog with all stakeholders about the company’s ESG activities.

Week four: Innovation and sustainability in the supply chain

  • Sustainable procurement: selection of suppliers who are committed to ESG principles and circular economy practices.
  • Cooperation with suppliers: Promoting innovation and best practices in the area of sustainability.
  • Transparency in the supply chain: Ensuring the traceability of raw materials and products.

Fifth week: Skills and commitment

  • Raising employee awareness of ESG issues: Coaching employees on the principles of sustainability and circular economy
  • Involving employees in ESG activities: Promoting ideas and initiatives to improve ESG performance.
  • Motivation and recognition: Creating a corporate culture that values and rewards sustainable action.

Week six: Data-driven decision making and business process optimization

  • Real-time precision value chain: Map geodata such as address lists, GPS points, lines, areas or GIS objects from any source upstream and downstream in multi-layered grids from 100 mm to 100 km and use them directly in ERP and GIS systems as well as all further processing algorithms such as BI, ML and AI directly in real time, without prior complex preparation.
  • Real-time precision warehouse management: AI-based visual computing solutions for companies with a focus on warehouse and space management. Tracking and categorization of any goods in real time.
  • ESG management software: Collect, analyze and report sustainability data in compliance with current EU regulations. Software-supported materiality analysis, CO2 accounting, supply chain responsibility, stakeholder dialog and the creation of sustainability reports.
